What this site is
Buying Budget publishes free UK mortgage and home-buying calculators together with plain-English guidance. Everything is designed around one idea: a number is only useful if you can see how it was produced.
What we are not
We are not a lender, a mortgage broker or a financial adviser, and we are not authorised to give mortgage advice. We never make personal recommendations and we do not sell mortgages.
How we make money
Some placements on the site may be commercial. Where a commercial partner is connected, the placement is labelled and links are marked as sponsored. A commercial relationship never changes a calculation, an assumption or the order of results. See our affiliate disclosure.
How we keep figures current
Tax bands, thresholds and calculation assumptions are stored as reviewable data with a source link and a review date, shown on each calculator. Read the calculation methodology for the detail.
